Culture Wars Close Out Tour with a Hometown Show at Emo’s Austin
There’s nothing quite like a hometown show, and for Austin’s own Culture Wars, their night at Emo’s was one to remember. With friends, family, and longtime fans in the crowd, the band closed out their tour with a set packed with fan favorites, big sing-along moments, and plenty of emotion.
The night kicked off with “Bittersweet” before rolling into “Wasting My Time,” “Heaven,” “Slowly,” and “In The Morning.” From “Miley” and “It Hurts” to “(Tokyo)” and “cortisol, it’s not always what’s in your head,” the set showed off the different sides of the band’s sound. Fans also got to sing along to “Don’t Speak” and “Typical Ways,” their breakout hit that’s surpassed 10 million streams.
The band closed with “Lies,” giving the hometown crowd an emotional send-off and the perfect ending to the tour.
The show came at an exciting time for Culture Wars, who recently released their highly anticipated debut album, if not now, when? The record is a big milestone for the Austin band, bringing together the heartfelt lyrics, catchy melodies, and modern alt-rock sound that fans have come to love. With songs like “Typical Ways” and “It Hurts” helping them reach new listeners, the album marks an exciting next chapter for the band.
After a huge year, ending the tour at home with friends, family, and fans made the night feel even more special. With their debut album now out and more people discovering their music, Culture Wars are just getting started.
