Texas Music Community Rallies for Floods Relief with Star-Studded Benefit Concerts
Texas has always had a big heart, especially when it comes to helping neighbors in need. After the recent floods caused a lot of damage across the Hill Country and beyond, some of your favorite Texas music stars are stepping up to support families and communities affected by this disaster — and they want YOU to join in.
Country legend George Strait is hosting special benefit dinner and concert in Boerne, Texas, “Strait To The Heart,” at Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena. Alongside George, you’ll see amazing artists like William Beckmann, Ray Benson, and Wade Bowen and more.
Robert Earl Keen, a Hill Country favorite who knows the area well (he even owns a ranch nearby!), is throwing a benefit concert on August 28 at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels. He’s rallying the community to help neighbors rebuild after the floods along the Guadalupe River.
Texas country star Pat Green, who’s teaming up with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment for a livestream concert at Globe Life Field. but there won’t be any fans in the stands. Instead, the show will be livestreamed for free on Green’s YouTube channel.
In Nashville, singer-songwriter Cory Asbury will headline the “Texas On My Mind” concert on July 21 at basement East, with proceeds supporting multiple families impacted by the flooding. (Tickets)
