Mike Parker Channels Heartbreak Into New Country-Soul Single “Bone Dry”
Soulful country singer-songwriter Mike Parker releases his second single, “Bone Dry,” from his forthcoming album. The track captures the all-too-familiar moment when a relationship that once fueled you begins to drain the life out of you.

“’Bone Dry’ represents the in-between of moving on and remembering,” says Parker. “It’s about the kind of breakup that not only takes the person — it takes the air out of the room, the plans you made, and the version of yourself you thought was safe. You’re left standing there empty… bone dry.”
“Bone Dry” was co-written by Mike Parker, Notelle, and Dirty Rice, and written and produced by acclaimed Nashville songwriter and producer Jimmy Robbins, whose extensive catalog includes hits recorded by artists such as Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, and Keith Urban.
Originally from Virginia, Parker first gained national attention as a Top 10 finalist on Season 20 of American Idol, winning over audiences with his commanding stage presence and emotionally driven performances. After relocating to Nashville, he continued to build momentum, collaborating closely with Robbins and Mailbox Money Records while securing publishing deals with Withrow Street Music and CTM Entertainment.
A CMT Next Up Now featured artist, Parker has earned four weeks of rotation on CMT, appeared on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Country playlist for multiple weeks in 2024, and landed spots on both the 2024 and 2025 Best of Fresh Finds Country year-end lists. Throughout 2025, he dedicated himself to crafting his debut album, a project that will further showcase his genre-blending country-soul sound and strong vocal range.
As Parker wraps up his Tin Roof Nashville Hits The Roof Tour, running through March 21 across the Southeast, “Bone Dry” continues to position Parker as a rising voice in country-soul, blending heart-on-sleeve storytelling with the emotional depth that defines his music.
