Jenny Tolman Brings Glamorous Circus Fantasy to Life in “Show Pony” Video

Jenny Tolman is stepping into a world of glitter, spectacle, and sharp storytelling with the release of her new “Show Pony” music video, out now. The visual transforms the song’s biting wit into a dazzling, circus-inspired dream, blending vintage glamour with theatrical flair.

Shot and edited by Randy Shaffer at the Carousel of Dreams inside The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, the video leans fully into a 1920s-inspired aesthetic. Complete with carousel horses, shimmering visuals, and old-school showgirl styling, Tolman moves between performer and observer, embodying the very illusion the song critiques.

At its core, “Show Pony” takes aim at surface-level charm and the facades people hide behind, using the metaphor of a carousel to reflect something beautiful that ultimately goes nowhere. “I thought a carousel was the perfect metaphor of something beautiful on the outside that keeps you going around and around in circles,” Tolman explains, tying the visual concept directly to the song’s meaning.

Written alongside Dave Brainard and Matt Willis, the track delivers a sharp, unapologetic take on heartbreak and ego, following a woman watching her ex flaunt a new relationship with more flash than substance. That tension between appearance and authenticity plays out vividly in the video’s colorful, almost surreal world.

The release adds to an already busy chapter for Tolman, who recently gained national attention as a contestant on CBS and Paramount+’s The Road, where she performed as an opening act for Keith Urban. Beyond her own artistry, she continues to champion women in country music through her annual Cowgirls at The Cowboy festival in Jackson, Wyoming.

With the “Show Pony” visual, Jenny Tolman once again proves her ability to build immersive, character-driven worlds—delivering a video that’s as entertaining as it is cleverly self-aware.
