Evan Honer Releases Everything I Wanted Out Now Via Cloverdale Records

By  |

Today, Evan Honer releases his third studio album, Everything I Wanted, via Nashville indie label Cloverdale Records. With the LP, Evan Honer looks around and takes stock of the present. Recorded in a Nashville-area garage studio he built himself, the album blends homemade grit with widescreen polish, pulling his indie and alt-pop influences into the spotlight. Across 13 tracks, layered with strings, horns, pedal steel, and contributions from his Cloverdale Records community, Honer pushes beyond his Americana roots into something more eclectic and electrifying.

Of today’s focus track, “Lose A Friend,” Honer says, “I think it’s a good glimpse into the future genres and vibes I want to explore more with my music and to keep pushing the boundaries and what it means to be genreless and not put myself in any type of bubble or niche.”

Everything I Wanted is the latest step in a career that began with his gold-certified cover of Tyler Childers’ “Jersey Giant,” a viral breakthrough that has since earned more than 200 million streams. After years of high-speed touring, Honer has learned to slow down just enough to reflect. At the heart of it all is his calling card: an acclaimed songwriter, storyteller, and bleeding-heart vocalist, intent on finding clarity in the moment.
