‘Defying Gravity’ Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Wins Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at 2026 Grammy Awards
The Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance goes to… Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo for “Defying Gravity.”
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This award was the first to be announced during the premiere ceremony. Neither Ariana or Cynthia attended this portion in person.

“Defying Gravity” – Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande
Written by Stephen Schwartz for the original musical. This new version is part of the Wicked soundtrack for the film adaptation. Cynthia Erivo has three prior Grammy nominations, including Best Musical Theater Album (The Color Purple) and Best Song Written for Visual Media (“Stand Up” from Harriet), with one win on a cast album. 2026 marks her latest nomination in this category.
“Golden [From “KPop Demon Hunters”]” – HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI
The hit is performed by the fictional K-pop group Huntr/x as part of the animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters. “Golden” is an electropop anthem blending English and Korean lyrics. It topped the Billboard Global 200 and reached No. 1 in over 30 countries. The track was written by EJAE with collaborators Mark Sonnenblick, DO, 24, Ido, and Teddy. It was produced by 24, Ido, Teddy, and Ian Eisendrath.
“Golden” snagged four 2026 Grammy nominations — including Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Remixed Recording (David Guetta REM/X).
“Gabriela” – KATSEYE
“Gabriela” was written by Andrew Watt, John Ryan, Ali Tamposi, Charli XCX, and Sara Schell. Additionally, Watt and Ryan produced the track. This marks the group’s first Grammy nomination. They are also nominated in the Best New Artist category.
“APT.” – ROSÉ, Bruno Mars
Rosé, Bruno Mars, Amy Allen, Christopher Brody Brown, Omer Fedi, Philip Lawrence, Theron Thomas, Henry Cirkut, Walter wrote and produced the smash hit.
“30 For 30” – SZA With Kendrick Lamar
“30 For 30” was featured on SZA’s SOS: Deluxe: Lana album. The song was written by SZA, Kendrick Lamar, Bobby DeBarge, Greg Williams, Anthony Jermaine White, and Michael Uzowuru. It was produced mainly by Michael Uzowuru and J. White Did It.
