George Strait Returns to Austin for Two Nights at Moody Center, With William Beckmann Opening

By  |

Country music fans, get ready! The King is coming back to Austin.

George Strait has officially announced not one, but two huge shows at the Moody Center on April 9 and April 11, and the excitement is already sky-high.

This run is extra special because Strait isn’t just returning to any venue he’s coming back to the place he helped christen. The Moody Center first opened its doors in 2022 with a massive grand-opening performance from Strait himself, setting the tone for the venue’s now-iconic concert history.

Adding even more Texas charm to the nights, William Beckmann will open both shows. The rising country favorite has been winning hearts across the state with his smooth vocals, timeless sound, and throwback storytelling vibe. Fans know he’s the perfect match to warm up the Austin crowd before Strait takes over.

And if you’re hoping to snag tickets early — today’s your day.
Two presales with limited tickets are live:

  • Artist presale starts at 10 a.m.
  • Venue presale begins at noon on ticketmaster.com using the access code TAKEMETOTEXAS.
The general sale opens on Jan. 30 at 10 a.m., so set those reminders.

If you’ve ever wanted to hear “Amarillo By Morning,” “Check Yes or No,” or “Troubadour” live with thousands of other Strait fans, now’s your shot. And with Beckmann kicking things off, it’s a full night of country gold from start to finish.
