Joey Myron Unveils a Darkly Addictive Anthem of Love and Restless Nights with “Best Western”

By  |

Genre bender Joey Myron blurs the line between grit and glamour with the release of his haunting new single, “Best Western,” out now on all streaming platforms. Anchored by moody guitars and Myron’s smoky, hypnotic vocals, “Best Western” – co-written by Myron with James Shelley and Michel Heyaca of duo Lucky Dog (who also produced)  –  tells the story of a love that’s both destructive and magnetic – the kind you know will break you, but you chase it anyway. Its chorus, both desperate and intoxicating, lingers like neon light through motel blinds: “Let’s go and hit the Best Western / Slip under the covers forever.”

Listen to “Best Western” HERE.

“’Best Western’ is an alt-country/pop sonic blend about a sneaky rendezvous at a hotel,” said Myron of the song. “The moody wild-western vibe with punchy production tells the story of lovers sneaking off into the night set to the background of an expansive Western backdrop. We want the song to challenge the boundaries of genre and storytelling.”

Equal parts cinematic and unfiltered, “Best Western” cements Myron as one of Nashville’s most distinctive and intriguing new voices – fearless in his storytelling and unafraid to dig into the shadows of modern romance. The song follows Myron’s Summer release of feel-good, flirty anthem “Smile” (out in August).

Myron has worked with top producers and writers, including leading DJ/producer Mickey Valen, on his breakout hit “Chills,” which – to date – has amassed over 90 million collective streams. Fans of the original version of “Chills” will soon get the “countryfied” version – Myron will chase “Hoe Down” with the Nashville version of “Chills” in November, giving the hit track a new twist. Taking inspiration from a diverse array of influences, ranging from Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, The Weeknd, and Post Malone, Myron creates music that feels both timeless and current.
