What brings Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Bastille, Bono and Seal together? Ebola.

No, that’s not a joke, it’s actually the truth. British and Irish music stars including Ed Sheeran, Bastille, One Direction, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Emeli Sande, Olly Murs, Bono, Seal and more got together and recorded a version of Do They Know It’s Christmas in 36 hours for the 2014 Band Aid campaign. The profits from the song go toward Band Aid’s trust, which fights Ebola globally. This continues a tradition that has been going on for, as of this year, 30 years.
