Wallows Interview on Politics and 2020 Presidential Election

By  |

Wallows band members Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston sit down for the cover story of Stage Right Secrets magazine’s 26th issue.

The group has been doing their part to get their fans to vote in the 2020 presidential election. The trio spoke about the presidential debate, election, voting, and much more.

Watch a portion of the interview, below.

“I think that it shouldn’t even be a political thing to tell people to vote,” Minnette stated. “Being in your twenties, a young adult, you should try to have a grasp on what’s going on. Growing up, I’ve never seen our country in such a crisis. It’s the only time I’ve ever gone, ‘Damn, America seems f–ked right now, this is really, really screwed up.’ It’s going to take a lot to fix it. If you can watch last night’s [presidential] debate… there’s no debating between two anymore, you either believe in one thing or you believe in another.”

The band believes that the country needs a new president and although Minnette acknowledges that it is not everybody’s favorite pick, Joe Biden seems to be the answer. “If you don’t vote for Biden you’re essentially voting for Trump,” he continued. “To watch Trump interrupt him like a child the entire time and refuse to condemn white supremacists. It’s important because I don’t want this country to be f–ked forever. Four more years could have catastrophic things that we won’t be able to be fixed until I’m dead.” Overall, the group agreed that Biden is the best bet to turn this country around.
