Vanessa Hudgens Q&A and Photo Gallery

By  |

Vanessa Hudgens helped to launch Propel Vitamin Boost – a new electrolyte water that is enhanced with 100% of the recommended daily value of Vitamins B3, B5, B6, C and E, the same level of electrolytes as original Propel, and is made with no artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors. During the launch event, which took place at Union Square, Vanessa and guests participated in a workout lead by Megan Roup from The Sculpt Society.

Q: What’s on your menu on a typical day – breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks?

A: Breakfast – scrambled eggs with spinach, avocado, tofu sausage, multigrain toast with butter and a ton of Sriracha, banana with almond butter. Lunch/Dinner – Big salad, pasta or pizza. And a glass of wine.

Q: Are there one or two principles that guide your diet?

A: Eat what I want. That’s the big thing about intermittent fasting because you are only eating for a certain window, so you can enjoy food for the period of time that you’re eating. And then you put food out of your mind for the time that you’re fasting.

Q: What different types of workouts do you typically do? Are there one or two forms of exercise that are your favorite?

A: I always do Pilates, SoulCycle and yoga – those have been my go-to for years. It’s what works best for my body because I put on muscle really easily, so weight training doesn’t always work for the way that I like my body to look. For me, it’s all about lengthening, leaning and toning, and I get that out of those three.

Q: How do you stay hydrated during your workout?

A: I drink Propel Vitamin Boost because it has the same amount of electrolytes that original Propel has. It also has a splash of vitamins B, C and E, and there’s no artificial sweeteners or flavors, so it’s a great partner to my workouts.

Q: Do you have specific favorite exercises for certain body parts – abs, legs, glutes?

A: Plank to pikes on exercise balls are always a great workout for the abs. And then weighted squats into overhead presses.

Q: Is there a quick tip you live by in terms of eating, drinking, exercise, mental outlook, etc.?

A: Do what makes you happy.
