Taylor Swift Donates to UCONN Student & Fan During HuskyTHON

Popstar sensation, Taylor Swift donated $1,989 this past weekend to the HuskyTHON– a charity dance marathon through UConn student and dedicated fan, Igor Lekontsev.

Swift’s donation along with many others will go towards Connecticut’s Children’s Medical Center as a part of the HuskyTHON event that just took place. This event is held annually, and every single year, all the proceeds are donated to the medical center.

This year they raised over $700,000, in comparison to last year’s event with donations over $560,000.

UConn hopes that this event will get bigger and better now that they have raised that much money and have the support of one very famous individual.

Along with getting a special donation from the pop star, Lekontsev also got to FaceTime the singer where they got to talk about her music and his admiration for her.
