Moufy is back with his highly anticipated mixtape “Humble Season”. Yesterday, the rapper from Roxbury, MA released his fourth album on DatPiff. In an interview with the rapper, Moufy tells us about the diversity on his album. He says it’s very themed and paints the story of his life; the hardship his parents faced as they settled into America from the Dominican, the struggles of growing up in a rough neighborhood, and the difficulty leaving his neighborhood to attend private school. Moufy used his misfortunes as a catalyst for his music.
He has had a lot of support from his family, friends, and fans. He even started Star Gang, a fan promotional group. Moufy prides himself on core fans and the fact that they can play a bigger role in his success.
We asked Moufy a few fun questions and here were his answers:
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Moufy: To teleport because I’m everywhere I need to be if I’m teleporting.
Q: If you could be in an advertisement for any product, what would it be and why?
Moufy: Energy Drink because it keeps you going. It’s motivation. We [he and his friends] actually came up with this drink, and we are convinced we are going to bottle it and sell it to Whole Foods.”
Q: What is something about you that you might consider embarrassing?
Moufy: I love CNN. I’m very into politics.
Q: What kind of artists do you like?
Moufy: I like artists that keep it real and organic.
Since one of his very first rhymes, “I’m Miss Newton. We in the building” Moufy has come a long way in his musical career. He hopes to maintain his success and become the greatest musician ever. He wants to have an international fan base and just enjoy the fact that he gets to do music. Please make sure to check out his new album and support him and his dream!
