DNCE Drops First Single “Cake By The Ocean”

It was just earlier this week that former Jonas Brothers frontman, Joe Jonas, started hinting at a new project in the works. DNCE, aka “your new favorite band,” is Jonas’ newest project, aside from his DJ gigs and event appearances.

DNCE is made up of Jonas, as frontman once again, former Jonas Brothers’ drummer, Jack Lawless, on drums; JinJoo Lee on guitar, who has played for Jordin Sparks and Charlie XCX, and Cole Whittle, founding member of the band Semi-Precious Weapons on bassist/keys.

DNCE premiered their new single on Z100, NY’s #1 Hit music station Monday evening.

The song titled “Cake By the Ocean” is an upbeat, techno 70’s type feel track with pop vibes, and an absolutely addicting chorus. I have to say, I’ve replayed it about seven times while writing this article alone.

While this came as a quick surprise, we’re excited to see where DNCE will go. Future album? Possible Tour? (Fingers crossed for both!) We’re so ready for DNCE’s future! #cakebytheocean
