Dan + Shay bring “nouveau” Country to Route 91 Festival

Just because summer is officially over doesn’t mean the music festivals have to end. Out in the desert lands of Nevada, the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival will be taking place October 3rd in Las Vegas. This BRAND SPANKIN NEW music festival is bringing tons of big name country artist the 5th like Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley and one of SRS’s personal favorites Dan + Shay!

This country music duo has blew up this past year with their summer hit “19 You + Me” which hit 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 and made the top 10 for Billboards Hot Country Songs. These guys are definitely bringing a new sound to the country airwaves. Unlike a lot of older country music that uses fiddles, acoustic guitars and banjos. Their music has a lot more of rock influences to it. Replacing fiddles for electric guitars they pay homage to their country roots while bringing a new sound that has old and new fans of country music just craving for more. Not to mention when these guys play a live show, they really make sure to get the crowd involved. From the looks of it, crowds love it when they cover “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey or “You’re Love” by The Outfield. While they already have a hit or two under their belts and a very passionate fan base, we’ll see if this duo will continue to make a splash in the country music scene over the next year.
