Country Singer-Songwriter Daniel Borge Releases Debut Single “Room 208”

Norway born and bred Country singer-songwriter Daniel Borge has released his debut single, titled “Room 208,” available here.

I wrote “Room 208” after staying at a hotel in Nashville. After a studio session, I was back at the hotel late one night. When I entered the hotel, I met a guy that was also staying at the hotel. You could see he hadn’t had an easy life. As I talked to him, he told me about his life story, which inspired me to write it,” explains Daniel. “It made me think that while the hotel rooms are the same, so many different people stay there. Some of them successful, and some of them haven’t been as fortunate. The song means a lot to me because I feel like it shows me as an artist and as a songwriter.

Produced by Grammy award-winning producer Brad Hill (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Brett Young), “Room 208” tells the story of one sitting in a hotel room (Room 208) while considering the different paths that are possible in life, one involving the Bible and the other involving whiskey.

Borge’s new single comes on the heels of his recent streaming success. The independent artist garnered close to 250,000 total streams on Spotify with previous releases.

Additionally, his experience writing and performing in Norway has allowed him to stand out from other Nashville acts. Borge has rapidly grown his fanbase in both Europe and the U.S. and plans to move to the U.S. The future is bright for this promising new artist. Borge’s energy, a strong sense of identity, and his solid, controlled voice leave a lasting impression.

I´m releasing a Christmas song at the end of November,” spills Daniel. “It’s called “A Labor Of Love” and is a different Christmas story than most people are used to!
