Coachella Coming to the East Coast?

Get your flower crowns, high waisted shorts and hoola hoops ready, because Coachella could be coming to New York!

According to the New York Daily News, New York City has been in talks about the possibility with AEG Live. Who is AEG? They just so happen to be one of the best concert and entertainment promoters in the business, especially when it comes to Coachella. If it is a go, the festival is said to be held at the Flushing Meadows Corona Park next June.

The festival is tentatively called Panorama; According to the Daily News, AEG has already recruited some artists and has a possible date set in mind!

This would be one of the first festivals AEG Live would be promoting on the East Coast.

On the other hand though, this is all alleged and nothing is confirmed as of yet. Events of this proportion have been done before in this area but some people are skeptical. Queens Borough President, Melinda Katz, gave a statement to The Daily News saying, “While we encourage public events of any scale that enhance our borough, this proposal appears to raise significant concerns, especially the precedent it would potentially set.”
