CMA Country Christmas Recap!

untitled-2042

Even though it was only November 7th, I got into the Christmas spirit thanks to CMA’s Country Christmas! Held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, the night kicked off with our emcee Storme Warren entertaining the crowd. Host Jennifer Nettles did a great job of interacting with fans and pulling her hosting duties simultaneously. Jennifer started the show with her rendition of a Christmas classic you’ll have to tune in to hear. I cannot get over how flawless her voice is and how at ease she is on that stage.
All of the music heavyweights including Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Alan Jackson, Leann Rhymes, Little Big Town, Hunter Hayes, among others were in attendance. It was truly the night to sit back and listen to incredible Christmas joy. Dan and Shay were the first standing ovation of the night and it was rightly deserved. At one point during the song I forgot I was shooting and just had to take in their performance.  Leann dazzled us with her black and white dresses while Jennifer wore a beautiful blue number with silver accents. Carrie Underwood and Michael W. Smith matched in blue while singing their humbling duet.

“Let It Go” performed by both Idina and Jennifer was a show stopper. Jennifer was gleaming after the performance and looked genuinely thrilled to sing with Idina. Brad Paisley and Steven Tyler did a phenomenal job performing “Run, Run Rudolph”.  The audience chanted “Play It Again” for a solid 40 seconds and the duo performed for a second standing ovation.  I would love to see them collaborate in the future.
Be sure to tune in to ABC on December 1st at (8:00-10:00 PM/ET) to see the entire show!
