Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel Reunite for Epic HSM Throwback Duet!

By  |

Everyone’s favorite dancing Disney (sibling) duo is back! On her YouTube channel, Ashley Tisdale has been uploading a series called “Music Sessions,” which features herself and guests covering songs. A few months ago, she stirred the High School Musical pot by having Vanessa Hudgens appear on the channel, covering “Ex’s and Oh’s” by Elle King with her.

Today, Ashley and former co-star Lucas Grabeel brought all of the HSM fans back to East High, performing a beautiful, slowed-down, piano-only version of their duet from the first film, “What I’ve Been Looking For.” Grabeel actually wrote the updated arrangement and shared it with the entire cast over text (be-still our hearts!)!

The two introduce the video by reminiscing on their days as Wildcats, including a “We’re All In This Together” reference from Sharpay herself. They also reveal a juicy secret about their friendship and share a sibling-esque moment that had me aww-ing out loud.

We all really appreciated the 10 year anniversary specials on GMA and Disney Channel last year, but if we could maybe get an updated “2017” version of the entire soundtrack, or a 10 year reunion tour, we wouldn’t hate that either…

Check out Ashley and Lucas bringing a 2017 twist on a 2007 classic below!
