Artist Spotlight: Nothing More!

By  |

Active Rock radio got a true treat this summer with the introduction of new band Nothing More. Recently signed to Eleven Seven Music, Nothing More released their major label debut album this past summer with great success. Its raw animalistic power and sophisticated, thought-provoking lyrics have gained the band no lack of new fans. The album’s first single, “This Is the Time (Ballast),” just reached number one on the American Active Rock charts reinforcing Nothing More as rock’s next powerhouse.

I had the privilege of seeing Nothing More live this summer at NYC’s Webster Hall, and they are—without exaggeration—like nothing I have ever seen before. For a relatively new band, they have the stage presence and charisma even some seasoned professionals lack. What really amazed me was their soon-to-be signature bass-solo. I go to concerts more regularly than I probably should. I’ve been working in the music industry for years. I study music for fun, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything like it. If nothing else, their knack for putting on an amazing show should get you up and out there to see one of their upcoming shows—either headlining or opening for Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat this fall. Tour dates, tickets, and more information can be found here.

Nothing More is on the verge of blowing up. I know I am very interested to see where they will be in a year or two’s time, but for now I know I’ll keep playing their record and requesting it on-air. I’m really interested to hear what everyone else thinks of Nothing More. Love them? Hate them? Have a favorite song off the new record? Let us know @stagerights or you can tweet at me @ally_marcs.
