It’s Time For Your 2020 Christmas Playlist!

Christmas is just three weeks away, and dozens of artists have worked hard to make sure your playlist this year is full of new tracks! 

Although the pandemic has made it hard for artists to write, record and produce this year, many of your favorite singers and songwriters have made it their goal this December to provide brand new music. Although some artists took it upon themselves to release their first Christmas songs months ago, some decided to wait till winter to release their tracks. For some others, like Alessia Cara, their Christmas records weren’t even planned until the very last minute.

We’ve compiled into a single playlist all of the Christmas music that’s been released this year. After the year we’ve had, we felt like this playlist was a must to get our spirits back up!

From Kelly Clarkson, Tegan and Sara and Sasha Sloan, to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, you will find a vast variety of covers and original Christmas music that we hope will do the trick and make you sing until the end of the year!

Some of the tracks in the playlist were taken from full bodies of work created specifically for the holidays. For some artists, these Christmas albums have become a tradition, but for some others, it was a first time thing.

Here are some of the albums featured in our playlist:

• Dolly Parton‘s A Holly Dolly Christmas marks the singer’s first new Christmas album since 1990,
• Following his 2016 Simply Christmas album, Leslie Odom Jr. released his second holiday record, The Christmas Album
• As mentioned above, Alessia Cara released what she called a “very impulsive” 4-song EP titled Holiday Stuff
• Carrie Underwood surprised everyone with the very first Christmas album of her 14-year career, My Gift
• Shaggy released his own holiday effort, Christmas In The Islands
• Ready to celebrate the holidays, Meghan Trainor released A Very Trainor Christmas back in October,
• On October 30, Tori Kelly also released A Tori Kelly Christmas, including her holiday hit “25th”
